About Casa Azteca
Nicely decorated with quality furnishings, Casa Azteca is a good two-bedroom selection for people who want to be able to walk into town but be located somewhat out of the congestion of Centro.
Situated partway up the hill above the main Mercado in the neighborhood known as Colonia Azteca, this sunny and bright charmer is newly constructed on three levels and offers all the amenities for today's travelers.
From the entry, the ground level of the house features the master bedroom and its cozy sitting area with fireplace and work desk. The queen bed has a pillowtop mattress and fine sheets and comforters. A large walk-in closet is next door to the double-sink bathroom with its colorful tiles, polished cement counter tops and good-sized shower.
This floor also has a small garden area that's open to the sky, bringing lots of light into the master bedroom.
Up the staircase you come to the main living floor of the house — a great room with living area (complete with fireplace, flatscreen TV and built-in DVD player), a well-outfitted kitchen, and a dining area, which opens onto a small sunny terrace with some chairs and a little table for taking your morning coffee al fresco.
A nice half-bath is on this level, and you'll find a CD player with iPod docking station here in the living area, too.
The great room has wonderful light throughout the day, which is not all that common in most San Miguel houses.
One more level up and you find the second guest bedroom, as well as a sunny roof terrace with vistas across San Miguel's historic Centro toward the western sunset.
Several famous churches are visible from the terrace, but you may prefer simply to relax on the two lounge chairs to enjoy the afternoon sun.
The bedroom has another queen bed, also with pillowtop mattress and fine bed linens, plus an en-suite bathroom.
The house rental includes the services of Angelica the maid 3 times a week, wireless Internet connection for your own laptop, cable TV with some U.S. stations, and local Telmex phone service. A Vonage line is also included in the house, which renters can use for free calls back to the States.

A 8% line item for Mexican taxes and administrative fees will be added to all rental rates.
Please note that a 20% holiday surcharge is added to all rental rates during Christmas, New Year's, Day of the Dead and Semana Santa (week before Easter).
