About Casa de la Vista
For a stay in the heart of the old historic district of San Miguel, with expansive views from the roof terrace, visitors will delight in all the "extras" to be found at the charming Casa de la Vista.
This 3 bedroom, 3+ bathroom house retains the charm of its original structure from the 1700s, but also features all of today's conveniences as well.
Recently fully restored and modernized, Casa de la Vista features carved cantera fireplaces, traditional wooden ceiling finishes, hand-painted tiles with colonial designs, and other beautiful details.
On the main level there is a cozy library/media room in addition to the large living/dining room and completely outfitted kitchen. A half bathroom is also on this level.
A patio boasting a countryside view is off the living/dining room, complete with fountain, fish pond, and meditation garden.
One level down from this patio is a guest casita -- a private one-bedroom retreat with twin beds, en-suite bathroom, and its own kitchenette, plus the added bonus of a game room with a 4.5 x 9-foot pool table and all the equipment. Please note: the two twins can be made up together to create a king bed - let us know your preference!
On the second floor, you find a large office space with Vonage phone line for free calls back to the States and Canada. This room has a cable for high-speed Internet, and there are outlets in every room of the house to move the Internet cable with you.
This floor also includes the master bedroom/bathroom (with king bed) and another bedroom/bathroom with queen bed.
Up one more level and you are on the top of the world — the large roof terrace has an open area for lounging in the sun, and a covered area with comfortable seating, wet bar and half bathroom for entertaining and/or relaxing at any time of day or night, although enjoying a sunset margarita from this spot will soon become your favorite past-time!
The broad vista of old churches and historic buildings in the foreground and the surrounding Guanajuato countryside and distant Santa Rosa Mountains in the background will never cease to amaze you. . .
Casa de la Vista has these other special features:

- The housekeeper, Luz Maria, comes Tues, Thurs and Sat from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm to do cleaning and laundry. She does not cook.
All in all, a perfect Centro location for your vacation in San Miguel.
For most of the year, the weekly rate is $1575 USD and the monthly rate is $5500 USD. Shorter rentals (with a 5-night minimum) are allowed at the rate of $250 USD/night.
During the holiday season, from Dec 15 to Jan 10 each year, the nightly rate is $350 USD, with a 5-night minimum rental.
While a teenager traveling with parents would be welcome at Casa de la Vista, this house is not suitable for younger children.

Please note that a 20% holiday surcharge is added to all rental rates during Christmas, New Year's, Day of the Dead and Semana Santa (week before Easter).
