A world unto itself, the incredible Casa Quinta Ocho is one of the most beautiful homes in all of San Miguel.
Located just two blocks south of Parque Juarez, this luxury villa (with 3 bedrooms in the main house, 2 additional bedrooms in the guest casita, and a convertible study that will allow up to 12 people to stay here in pampered comfort) is located close enough to walk into town, yet situated just far enough away from the congestion of the Centro to provide a serene and tranquil retreat for your exotic Mexican vacation.
Recently renovated from the ground up, this elegant colonial jewel has the look and feel of a grand manor house from the 18th century, complete with lovely gardens, view terraces and a lush pool area fed by rams-head fountains.
One enters an expansive foyer that leads you out to the oasis of the pool area and its gardens beyond. An outdoor living room with stone fireplace and dining table for 8 also opens into the gardens, creating a perfect space for enjoying the indoor/outdoor living that is the heart of the quintessential San Miguel experience. You will gather here for your afternoon cocktail hour or dining al fresco.
You also will love the fully equipped kitchen, where the house cook prepares your breakfast and lunch six days a week (her services are included, but you pay extra for the food, depending on what you want her to make).
There are a total of six different areas for your dining pleasure — the Spanish Conquest Dining Room, the pool-side Dining Loggia and Bar, the Parroquia Dining Room on the roof terrace, the Morning Room for breakfasts, the roof-top Trellis Dining Room, and the Garden Pergola and BBQ area. In other words, many spaces for entertaining, relaxing, dining, and enjoying private moments!
The house includes 9,000 square feet of living area, all beautifully furnished and adorned with fine details of stone, quality tile and carved wood, superbly crafted by local artisans.
Casa Quinta Ocho comes fully staffed with the cook, a chambermaid for cleaning and laundry, a houseman and a gardener. These four members of the Casa Quinta Ocho household staff will cater to your every need, offering you the services and security of a hotel while creating the luxury of space that only a very special private home can provide.
In the main house, you will find three bedrooms, all with top-quality linens, draperies and furnishings. All also have their own stunning en-suite bathrooms.
The master suite has a king bed, grand bathtub with heated bathing alcove and its own sitting room with 52-inch flat-screen TV.
The second master suite also has a king bed and lovely bathroom, plus its own TV.
The third suite has two twin beds, yet another TV and an equally nice bathroom.
In the casita, you'll find two more bedrooms — one with king bed and its own bathroom, the other with two twins and a bathroom across the hall.
The casita is ideal for children or simply as an extension of the main house for other guests. The casita has its own living room with another 32-inch flat-screen TV.
Back in the main house, the magnificent living room is an elegant place for lounging, playing games, or simply relaxing together. This room has an expansive view of the pool area and leads to the adjacent Blue Bar, a most exotic place for enjoying your evening margaritas!
Or, you might want to adjourn to one of the roof terraces for viewing the sunset, complete with a direct view toward the Parroquia church, the heart and soul of San Miguel.

Prices are pro-rated, depending on the number of guests and bedrooms used:
- Up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms in main house only: $5500 USD/week
- Up to 8 guests in 5 bedrooms, main house plus casita: $6500 USD/week
- Up to 10 guests in 5 bedrooms, main house plus casita: $7500 USD/week
- Up to 12 guests in 5 bedrooms and study, main house plus casita: $9000/week
Please note: Pools typically are not heated in San Miguel. To heat the lovely pool at Casa Quinta Ocho, we must fire up the pool with propane gas, and this would incur an extra charge, which runs around $500 USD/week from April through September and $750 USD/week from October through March.
