About Caballerizas Dragones

This historic, beautifully designed gem in the heart of San Miguel offers you a story-book setting for the perfect Old Colonial Mexico experience.

Dating back to 1671, the main structure of Caballerizas Dragones (Stables of the Queen's Guard) was built to house the Queen of Spain's soldiers and horses.

This four-bedroom, fully remodeled beauty sits down a vine-covered corridor back from the street (and away from the inner city traffic noise) in an absolutely top-notch location, just one block from the city's famous La Parroquia church and the Jardin, the very center of San Miguel.

Fine restaurants and main attractions are just steps away.

NOTE: Caballerizas Dragones is also available for a shorter rental of 3 nights minimum at a per diem rate of $640 USD.

The owner spared no expense in the recent renovations, which have created a vacation rental with all modern amenities in an unforgettable historic setting.

Decorated with fine furnishings from around the world by one of San Miguel's premier interior designers, Caballeriza Dragones offers guests comfortable, luxurious accommodations accented by an equestrian theme in keeping with the property's legacy.

Enjoy San Miguel's fabulous weather in the house's indoor/outdoor living spaces around the central patio.

A full-time housekeeper and cook provide daily cleaning and delicious meal preparation for breakfast and lunch, insuring five-star service for your stay.

The house has four bedrooms (king, queen, queen, queen) with en-suite bathrooms, plus a wonderful powder room with wooden-trough sink.

The charming living/dining room is a cozy setting for family meals and fireside gatherings, but you'll want to take as many meals as possible in the covered outdoor sala with its open wall to the lushly landscaped patio and intriguing "water wall."

There also is a roof terrace with close-up vistas of the center of town - a great spot for sunset cocktails or afternoon lounging.

Caballerizas Dragones has 5 fireplaces, satellite TV service from the States, high-speed wifi Internet connection, plus an Internet phone providing free phone calls to the U.S.

The kitchen is fully equipped, the laundry has both washer and dryer, and the house comes beautifully appointed with fine linens and towels.

NOW: Enjoy the premium blue agave tequila that was named for this house: Tequila Casa Dragones! To find out more, go to the website: http://www.casadragones.com or send an email: info@casadragones.com

Please note: Since the house is the marketing home for the tequila, the living room is dominated by a large tasting bar. There is not a lot of extra room for a sitting area in the living room, other than at the bar.
